Eyelid aesthetics is divided into two as upper and lower. Upper eyelid aesthetics is the process of removing excess skin from the eyebrow to the eye. Upper eyelid aesthetics is not only applied to older people. Sometimes, hereditary eyelids may have a drooping structure. This surgery is preferred due to factors such as the inability to apply eye shadow, difficulty in reading, and fading of the eyes.
Upper eyelid surgery takes approximately 1.5 hours under local anesthesia. There is no need to stay in the hospital. After 1 week, the stitches on the eyelids are removed. Smoking is forbidden before and after the operation!
Lower eyelid aesthetics is the process of removing bags under the eyes. The procedure takes a little longer than the upper eyelids and is performed under general anesthesia. Although there are physicians who perform the lower and upper eyelids simultaneously and under local anesthesia, I personally do not prefer to operate the lower and upper eyelids simultaneously and under local anesthesia.
